"The Okra Project is a collective that seeks to address the global crisis faced by Black Trans people by bringing home cooked, healthy, and culturally specific meals and resources to Black Trans People wherever we can reach them."
Dream Defenders
"Founded in April 2012 after the tragic killing of 17-year old Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida, the Dream Defenders are organizing Black and Brown youth to build power in our communities to advance a new vision we have for the state: away from prisons, deportation, and war, and towards healthcare, housing, jobs and movement for all."
